Alien invasive species spread through biofouling on ships, have already established themselves along parts of our coastline. Biofouling also presents major challenges such as pollution, climate changes, increased operational costs, and complex regulatory requirements.
We have gathered leading experts and decision-makers to Sjøboden for an informal yet important panel dialogue – "Tide Talks" – to discuss holistic solutions to the challenges of biofouling. We will explore how to best preserve ports and coastlines by seeing the big picture and integrating insights and perspectives from various sectors that affect the maritime industry.
“Nothing in nature exists alone” – Rachel Carson, Silent Spring.
See the whole picture, solve the whole problem.
