How do human rights, the SDGs, and ESG standards come together in ocean-based industries?
NHH and the Rafto Foundation invite you to an event exploring the vital role of human rights in the blue economy, and how businesses can strengthen their ESG commitments while ensuring a fair and sustainable transition.
The maritime and aquaculture industries are key players in the global economy, but they also face unique challenges in protecting human rights and upholding sustainability.
From labor conditions in shipping to environmental and social risks in aquaculture, this event will highlight best practices, industry responses, and the latest research on responsible business conduct in these sectors.
Doors open at 8:30, giving you time to enjoy a cup of coffee and connect with others before the programme starts at 9:00.
On the stage you will among others meet:
- Francesca Fairbairn, Programme Manager for Oceans, Shipping & Commodities, Institute for Human Rights and Business
- Prof. Haiying Jia, NHH
- Elin Saltkjel, Managing Director, Grieg Green
- Christine Lyngsgård Larsen, Head of Procurement & Sustainability, Salmon Group
