Registration is open for The Bergen Shipping Voyage 2024. The goal is One Ocean Week 2024 and goes via Shetland.

- "This is a unique opportunity to experience sailing, collaboration and development on board Statsraad Lehmkuhl. We set course for Shetland on April 9 and return home for Maritime Saturday in the city center and the opening of One Ocean Week 2024, says Trygve Nøkleby, general manager of Bergen Shipowners' Association.

The Bergen Shipping Voyage 2024 is open to employees of member companies and invites them to an inspiring trip across the North Sea to Lerwick and Shetland. Professional replenishment in combination with a spectacular experience at sea is a must.

- We also want the participants to make new friendships and expand their professional networks," explains Nøkleby. Now we set sail, together for the future in the first ever edition of The Bergen Shipping Voyage, which is organized together with the Norwegian Shipowners' Association and Maritime Bergen.

Sailing, collaboration and development on board Statsraad Lehmkuhl
While the participants sail the 110-year-old sailing ship together from Bergen to Shetland and back, they will take part in a unique leadership development course, tailor-made for us by professor and former naval officer, Olav Kjellevold Olsen, says Nøkleby.

The Bergen Shipping Voyage will also give participants the opportunity to improve their leadership skills.

Departure from Bergen is April 9, 2024, and then we'll be ready to sail in and return home for the opening of One Ocean Week 2024. We're looking forward to this," concludes Nøkleby.
