To address the future energy requirements of vessels in harbor effectively, it is imperative that we adopt a collaborative and innovative approach.

Different ships with different needs and technical solutions, capacity challenges in the grid, unclear regulatory guidelines for low- and zero-emission ships, lack of standards, time-consuming processes, and huge investments with uncertainty about cost coverage. The challenges the industry faces on the road to green shipping are diverse and complex.

Fortunately, the opportunities are just as significant. With a strong maritime ecosystem behind us, how can Norway continue to be a leading nation and contribute to accelerating the green transition both nationally and internationally?

It is evident that the maritime sector bears a collective responsibility in steering this green shift forward.  Embracing contemporary technological solutions represents an initial step towards mitigating emissions from vessel fleets, with shore power emerging as a pivotal component of this strategy.

In light of these considerations, Plug extends an invitation to industry stakeholders to participate in an insightful dialogue on green shipping infrastructure, scheduled to take place at Skolten on Wednesday, April 15th. This event seeks to explore how the industry can effectively address present and future challenges.

The first speaker enters the stage at 3.30 PM. Mingling and snacks from 3.00 PM. This event will be conducted in Norwegian and is open to all interested parties.
