Date: 13th-14th Of April
Time: 12.00 – 16.00 CET
Location: Festningskaien 1, 5003 Bergen
Bergen is one of the world's largest shipping cities. Ships owned and operated from Bergen sail with all kinds of cargo all over the world - and wherever you are at sea, the likelihood is high that a ship with Bergen heritage can be found on the horizon. Some of the ships are so large that they simply cannot enter the Vågen. Most of the ships are so advanced and valuable that they must sail without stopping - to bring essential goods to where they are needed. Other ships carry out highly advanced operations at sea, whether it's seismic surveys or underwater operations.
During One Ocean Week, leading shipping companies headquartered in Bergen will exhibit models and talk about what they do - on the seven seas in the shipping pavilion, centrally located at Festningskaien. There will be VR demonstrations allowing you to walk around a ship, real-time information about the whereabouts of the entire Norwegian fleet - and many activities. On Sunday, there will be activities for the youngest participants.
The exhibition is organized by the Maritime Bergen Foundation.
