Discover the ship
- Take a leisurely stroll around the outdoor decks and catch a glimpse of life below deck in one of the ‘banjers’.
- Discover how the hammocks are used
- Take in the stunning views of Bryggen and the Byfjord from the main deck.
- Meet the crew: Chat with our friendly crew members who are available to answer your questions
Learn new skills
- Try your hand at tying knots and hitches or learn the art of rope casting.
Enjoy food and drinks
- Purchase delicious waffles, sausages and “lapskaus” (traditional stew) and a variety of drinks on board
- Shop for souvenirs and take home a piece of the experience with a t-shirt, sweater, hat, or other souvenir
Open Ship is a perfect day for the whole family. This unique event offers a chance to get up close and personal with one of the world's biggest, most beautiful and famous sailing ships.
Statsraad Lehmkuhl is more popular than ever and sails extensively in Norway and abroad for much of the year. In April 2025, we will embark on a new, long expedition.
